Hi there!
Its Sunday, one day bear classes start for semester 3! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited. Even though I know things are going to pick up right off the bat, there is a comfort in the busyness that I can't really explain. Even through a 2 week break away from the madness is very refreshing, you get anxious to start again. We are in the middle of such a long and difficult journey that time away makes you feel uneasy. It also help that this semester I am taking some exciting classes. I take Neuroscience, Behavioural, Microbiology, and Pathology 1. The classes from this point on become very important as they are super high yield for both practice and for USMLE's. Im looking forwards.
I got to the island friday night. I pretty much spent the night unpacking and relaxing. Saturday I slept in and did some grocery shopping. Saturday was the day that the new students were out on the catamaran so I haven't met any of them yet. I was going to go out last night but decided to stay home. I was still pretty tired. Right now I am at school waiting to get registered! Exciting times. For the rest of today I will likely do some cooking and might go snorkelling if time permits. Well see.
Just thought I'd give an update! Ill try to post as much as I can, but who knows. I told myself I wanted to post once a week least semester but that wasn't too successful on my part.. We will see what I can manage this semester!
Things I learned while back at home over the break
-The air is very very dry
-I wasn't very lucky as the weather was not the best while I was home
-I miss Driving
-Detroit is a super cool city
-As everyone gets ready for summer time, I realize I am going to be very jealous with all the cool Canadian things all my friends will be doing..
-Im going to miss cottage season :(
-Leaving Family and Friends is hard. Especially when you are leaving for 8 months!
Cheers,
Mike
